Key Terms in the SHPEP Application Process
Registrant¹: an applicant who has initiated the application but has not yet submitted.
Submitter²: an applicant who has submitted their application prior to the deadline.
Completer³: an applicant who has submitted their application prior to the deadline AND has submitted all application materials (post-secondary institution transcript(s) and a letter of recommendation).
Matriculant⁴: an applicant who was accepted and participated in the program.

Are you assisting students with their SHPEP applications? We encourage all prehealth advisors to download the PDF of a blank SHPEP application to get a feel for the questions students are required to answer. Please note that students must submit the SHPEP online application and should not submit the PDF version to the National Program Office.
